چکیده

Continuous monitoring of in vivo pulsatile blood flow and pulse wave velocity (PWV) is important for clinical applications. These parameters are correlated with physiological parameters, such as pressure elasticity vessels. A multimode fiber diffuse speckle contrast analysis (MMF-DSCA) system was developed fast measurement velocity. With MMF CCD sensor, the could be captured processed higher temporal resolution 3 ms. We also induced first time an MMF-DSCA evaluation PWV, which allows estimation continuously. To validate its performance, both phantom experiments were conducted. The results demonstrate that achieve detailed information profile Taking advantages being simple cost-effective, flexible can easily adapted continuous vital biosigns, heart rate, wave, pressure.

Digital confocal microscopy through a multimode fiber.

Acquiring high-contrast optical images deep inside biological tissues is still a challenging problem. Confocal microscopy is an important tool for biomedical imaging since it improves image quality by rejecting background signals. However, it suffers from low sensitivity in deep tissues due to light scattering. Recently, multimode fibers have provided a new paradigm for minimally invasive endos...

Pulse wave velocity measurement

The article deals with the investigation of pulse wave propagation in arteries. A part of work involves also design and realization of devices serving for scanning of pulse wave by reflective photoplethysmography. The work describes a use of microcontroller serving for data flow control, communication and analog signal digitalization using integrated analog to digital converter.

Viscosity measurement based on shear-wave laser speckle contrast analysis.

Tissue viscosity is correlated with tissue pathological changes and provides information for tissue characterization. In this study, we report an optical method to track continuous shear-wave propagation at centimeter depths in an optically turbid medium. Shear-wave attenuation coefficients were measured at multiple frequencies using shear-wave laser speckle contrast analysis (SW-LASCA) to quan...

Pulse Wave Analysis and Pulse Wave Velocity

momanometer that provides arterial pressures (brachial systolic and diastolic pressure) is coming under question. The concerns extend well beyond the familiar issue of “white coat” hypertension, home and 24-h blood pressure recordings, and the phase-out of mercury based instruments. These concerns relate to the inaccuracy of all cuff devices for measuring pressure within the brachial artery, th...

Real-time resilient focusing through a bending multimode fiber.

Multimode optical fibers are attractive for biomedical and sensing applications because they possess a small cross section and can bend over small radii of curvature. However, mode phase-velocity dispersion and random mode coupling change with bending, temperature, and other perturbations, producing scrambling interference among propagating modes; hence preventing its use for focusing or imagin...
